What is Ticket to Ride?

Ticket to Ride is an exploaration game. This is a cross country train adventure in which players will collect and play train cards that match in order to claim specific routes to connect cities to one another throughout North America. The longer the route, the more points you earn if you complete it by game-end. However, longer routes prove more difficult as you need to collect more cards and hope another player does not claim a track you were planning to take. The objective of the game is to end with the most points and claim bragging rights for the day.

This game is all about strategy and "luck of the draw", and is very easy to learn!

Where Do I Purchase This Game?

For those who are wondering, Ticket to Ride is easily purchased anywhere. From large chains such as Aamazon or Walmart to small board game shops. Personally, I purchase all my board games from The Frozen Ogre, which is a small game shop in my home-town. I reccomend purchasing from small game stores because the price does not differential (too much) and with your purchase you are supporting a small business!

Ticket to Ride's board (in the basic game pictured below) is a map of the United States. A variety of fun colors are used to show different routes from city to city. Additionally, the color-coded playing cards each have their own illustration of a car on a train. When you play Ticket to Ride you not only have the opportunity to enjoy the mechanics of the game, but also the detailed illustrations!
